International Schools

We have worked with schools from all over the world to provide unforgettable study trips and are able to arrange trips with or without flights, dependent on what best suits your group’s needs.

Regardless of where in the world your school is based, you will receive the high levels of support and service throughout the booking process that Discover the World Education have become known for.

As members of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and accredited members of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) we exhibit annually with these organisations, so please come and speak to us if you are attending either of these events.

My best memory was the glacier walking and seeing the northern lights. It felt so special, like I was one of the luckiest people on Earth and, who knows, I might never get another opportunity like this.

Financial Protection

For your piece of mind, any booking made by an overseas school is guaranteed to be financially protected through our membership of ABTOT (Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited). We offer financial protection for non-flight inclusive holidays and flight inclusive packages purchased through us, where the initial flight from your home company is outside the UK, thus ensuring that all money paid to us is protected no matter what.

Worldwide flight ticketing

As a member of IATA (International Air Transportation Association), we are able to ticket flights with 85% of the world’s airlines. This can often work out to be better value for your group, though we appreciate that some schools prefer to arrange flights themselves. One of our expert Travel Specialists will work with you to decide whether it would be preferable for us to book your flights or for you to organise these yourself.

We are unable to provide travel insurance for groups whose initial departure country is outside the UK, as our travel insurance only covers repatriation to the UK and not your country of residence or departure. It is your responsibility to ensure that you book appropriate travel insurance which covers repatriation to your country of residence or departure.
We recommend that you take out insurance as soon as you have paid your deposits as your policy will provide a level of cover to your group in the event of cancellation prior to departure. Please refer to your policy details for full terms and conditions of what is covered.

Passports & Visas

All passengers require a valid passport to travel overseas. Some airlines require the following details: date of birth, passport number, nationality, country of issue, expiry date.
We therefore strongly recommend that you take a photocopy of the information page of each group member’s passport when you collect first deposits and check them personally to ensure that the required information is correct (and that passports are valid).
All passengers must also be entitled to enter the country they are visiting. Sometimes their passport may be sufficient, in other cases, an additional visa is required.
To check passport and visa requirements for your destination, please contact the relevant embassy or consulate. It is your responsibility to check and organise these prior to departure. Please note that visas may incur additional costs which you should plan for when promoting the trip to students.
Passport validity, visa requirements, prices and the visa application process may all vary depending on the nationality of the person applying. We recommend that you contact the embassy or consulate as early as possible to check the visa requirements for students and staff of all nationalities in your party, to ensure that you have sufficient time to prepare your applications. This is especially important for those who may have individuals with passports issued elsewhere, or have travellers with different passports in their party.
Please contact us if you require further information.
